Attention all animals, it is time to make history! Curl your whiskers and sharpen your claws, because on the 4th of October it’s ANIMAL DAY and the day of the REVOLUTION 🔥🐾 On this day we seize the means of sick sound production, overthrow human tyranny 🖕🧍‍♀️🧍🖕 and run Farm De Helling together in camaraderie!

Down with two-legs, fences and cages, up with fur, feathers and rampages! 🐶🐷🐐🐝 Official party policy: all animals are equal (some are more equal than others of course 🐈🐈🐈) Come shake your fluffy bum in solidarity, join the animal party, and ascend captivity! 💥

Geck-o & friends will guide you through the day with an intense blend of music. Dance to psychedelic soundscapes, underground rave, groovy rhythms, bassy drums and twisted mindfucks.

Geck-o – We can trust Geck-o to bring the most funky, trancey, sweaty and groovy cuts to our Animal Day Rave. As a master of his craft, he will provide an incredible flow throughout many styles and flavours. Always very intense and colorful, and with a load of new music fresh from his studio! Time to dance 😼

D00d & The Mandi Experience – Get ready for a special closing set, with two of our favourite people teaming up! Mandi & D00d will show us the intensity and profoundness of having fun, for it is a beautiful and transcendant experience. Let that sink in, while you dance your last energy to some seriously stupid drops 🤡

Koarse pres. Cut Sphere & Newton – A new face joins one of The Funky Cat veterans! These two have a great chemistry in the studio, and will bring their joint energy to the stage for the first time. Expect a genre-fluid experience of next level club music, full of unexpected and slightly illegal soundwaves 🤠

Ada & Zonnevlam – Meet Utrecht’s finest talent! You can expect a vibrant blend of Ada’s raw, oldschool house energy and Zonnevlam’s warm, organic rhythms – full of surprising turns and a deep, flowing groove 🌞 They love to weave an emotional, ethereal layer into their sets, creating a dancefloor that’s curious, connected, and alive!

Lfe in Cyn – Playful with a driving sound, perfect for The Funky Cat’s daytime energy! Comprised of Noël — known for his work as DJ Hidden and many other aliases — and Carolyn, the duo move seamlessly through tech house, breakbeat, techno, and everything in between. Their performances balance precision with spontaneity, fusing technical mastery with an instinct for crowd-driven flow. With roots in underground electronic culture and a shared passion for pushing boundaries, Lfe in Cyn delivers a genre-bending experience that feels immersive and fun, inviting dancers to lose themselves in rhythm and share the collective joy of the moment 💞

The Listening Hour with Geck-o & D00d – As always, we start the day off with an hour long of strictly NOT dancing 🚫 Instead, take a seat or lay down to experience a fine selection of beautiful, special, bizarre and cheeky music.

De Helling in Utrecht provides the intimate setting that we love, combined with a big sound system! The city of Utrecht is located in the middle of The Netherlands, and is easy to travel to from all directions the wind blows.

Public transport: De Helling is situated right next to the Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn train/bus station, a short train or bus ride from the Utrecht Centraal main station away. Use your favorite app to plan your optimal route!

Parking: It’s paid parking in the area around De Helling, till 21:00. You might find free parking on a walking distance. Check Prettig Parkeren to find your parking spot!

Time: 15:00 – 23:00, the entrance is open till 20:00.

Age restriction: 18+. In case of doubt, you may be asked to show your identification. Be sure to always bring a valid ID, passport or driver’s license with you.

Cloakroom: You can store your jackets, bags and other belongings at the cloakroom in the hall.

Chill: Listen to your body. If you need a break from all the action, just take some chill time in the hall. Color your drawing of The Funky Cat, read some fascinating books and do lots of other stuff. Reload and get ready for more!

Merchandise: The Funky Cat music albums, t-shirts and other items will be sold at the merchandise stand in the hall.

Dress up: We have no strict dress code, so come as you like! But we encourage you to put on something that feels special for you – let the theme inspire you!

Loudness: We like our music loud, so be sure to bring earplugs to protect your ears!

Smoking: It is not allowed to smoke inside the venue, and there is no smoking room. You can smoke outside, and you can get a stamp to get out-and-in.
